29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Examples of guarding machines are barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc: a. On or before October 6, 2015, while operating the E-4 Extruder, located in the Vacuum Building at 16460 Kinsman Road, Middlefield, Ohio, 44062; the machine operator was exposed to the unguarded Mega Line Winder. b. On or before October 6, 2015, while operating the hoppers/dumpers, located in the Vacuum Building at 16460 Kinsman Road, Middlefield, Ohio, 44062; the machine operator was exposed pinch points of the control arm and the actual movement of the bin.
