29 CFR 1910.23(c)(3): Regardless of height, open-sided floors, walkways, platforms, or runways above or adjacent to dangerous equipment, pickling or galvanizing tanks, degreasing units, and similar hazards were not guarded with a standard railing and toe board.    (a) Automatic Chrome Plating Dip Tank Line:  Dip tank line operators access walk way areas above dip tanks to make adjustment to the process or perform other line operation tasks. No guarding is in place to protect employees from falling into heated liquids and corrosive liquid materials in dip tanks, exposing employees to burn hazards from corrosive liquids or heated dip tank process liquids.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures are not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section:     (a) Automatic Plating/Coating Line: Written machine/equipment specific energy control procedures were not developed for personnel to follow when performing maintenance, repair, adjustment and retrieval of fallen part racks from dip tanks on Automatic Plating/Coating Line. Specific associated equipment with the plating line includes but is not limited to the overhead automated bar conveyor and process dip tanks.
