29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) Maintenance Area: Employees operated a Westward 8 inch abrasive bench grinder (serial #101001636) that was not equipped with an adjustable tongue guard. The abrasive bench grinder had a maximum opening of 1/2 inch between the abrasive wheel and the end of the safety guard peripheral member, as determined on October 8, 2015.
