OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. On September 7, 2015 in inedible rendering at the wet pit pump, employees engaged in "blowing out the line" of the pump were exposed to struck-by hazards when the pump was not equipped with a pressure gauge to ensure that pressure in the receiver was not exceeding the maximum allowable working pressure of the receiver by more than 10 percent.
