29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead:   At this establishment, at Corpus Christi Army Depot (Hangar #47), on or about October 10th, 2015, the employees worked in the assembly and production of military helicopters and work surfaces were not regularly cleaned to prevent avoidable lead exposure, such as those potentially caused by re-entrained lead dust.  Monitoring was conducted to ascertain lead presence and exposure. On October 21st, 2015 and October 23rd, 2015 the wipes samples were taken to ascertain lead exposure from different work surfaces, such as, but not limited to lunchrooms, employees personal lockers, and assembly work stations:    a) WIPE #1 - 1859.39 ug/ft2 (Lunchroom, Ocean side, North-East corner. On plastic chair with a dusty boot print);    b) WIPE #2 - 236.52 ug/ft2 (Lunchroom, Street side. On plastic chair with a dusty boot print, located by the 3rd table from the left side as you walk in);    c) WIPE #3 - 817.52 ug/ft2 (Gang Tools Box SEAG 27);    d) WIPE #4 - 5824.83 ug/ft2 (Left Side of the work/repair Stand UH60 (S/N: Q0272));    e) WIPE #5 - 148.40 ug/ft2 (Center of Hangar #47, work bench/desk with a brown paper cover);    f) WIPE #6 - 693.034 ug/ft2 (North-East corner, inside of hangar, railing metal door (Door Panel 47-13), lowest horizontal support);    g) WIPE #7 - 2643.934 ug/ft2 (Ocean side, Top of Blue Employees Personal Lockers, above Locker #13); and,    h) WIPE #8 - 3209.695 ug/ft2 (Ocean side, Top of Blue Employees Personal Lockers, Locker #19 and #21).    i) BULK #1 - 0.63836 % (North-East corner at East door railings);  j) BULK #2 - 3.8987 % (North-East corner at East door railings);  k) BULK #3 - 48.9840 % (Ceiling paint chip (Red) found on top of the Employees personal blue Lockers #19 and #21);                                      l) BULK #4 - 0.0077 % (Wall paint chip (Red) from on lower portions of wall outside of Room #110b); and,  m) BULK #5 - 1.4905 % (Wall paint chip (Green) from on lower portions of wall outside of Room #107a and #109a).

29 CFR 1910.1027(k)(1): Surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of cadmium:  At this establishment, at Corpus Christi Army Depot (Hangar #47), on or about October 10th, 2015, the employees performed  assembly and production of military helicopters and work surfaces were not regularly cleaned to prevent avoidable cadmium exposure, such as those potentially caused by re-entrained cadmium dust.  Monitoring was conducted to ascertain cadmium presence and exposure. On October 21st, 2015 and October 23rd, 2015 the wipes samples were taken to ascertain cadmium presence and exposure from different work surfaces, such as, but not limited to lunchrooms, employees personal lockers, and assembly work stations:    a) WIPE #1 - 4.39 ug/ft2 (Lunchroom, Ocean side, North-East corner. On plastic chair with a dusty boot print);     b) WIPE #2 - 1.17 ug/ft2 (Lunchroom, Street side. On plastic chair with a dusty boot print, located by the 3rd table from the left side as you walk in);     c) WIPE #3 - 17.79 ug/ft2 (Gang Tools Box SEAG 27);  d) WIPE #4 - 952.68 ug/ft2 (Left Side of the work/repair Stand UH60 (S/N: Q0272));     e) WIPE #5 - 17.86 ug/ft2 (Center of Hangar #47, work bench/desk with a brown paper cover);     f) WIPE #6  5.88 ug/ft2 (North-East corner, inside of hangar, railing metal door (Door Panel 47-13), lowest horizontal support);     g) WIPE #7  87.58 ug/ft2 (Ocean side, Top of Blue Employees Personal Lockers, above Locker #13); and,    h) WIPE #8  81.57 ug/ft2 (Ocean side, Top of Blue Employees Personal Lockers, Locker #19 and #21).    i) BULK #1 - 0.0007 % (North-East corner at East door railings);   j) BULK #2 - 0.0015 % (North-East corner at East door railings);   k) BULK #3 - 0.0018 % (Ceiling paint chip (Red) found on top of the Employees personal blue Lockers #19 and #21);    l) BULK #4 - non detected, % (Wall paint chip (Red) from on lower portions of wall outside of Room #110b); and,  m) BULK #5 - 0.0015 % (Wall paint chip (Green) from on lower portions of wall outside of Room #107a and #109a).
