29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead:  On or about April 6, 2016, in Hanger 47, employees engaged in military helicopter repair and maintenance were exposed to lead containing dust. The employer did not maintain surfaces as free as practicable from accumulated lead.  The Corpus Christi Army Depot was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1100663, citation number 1, item number 1-a and was affirmed as a final order on February 12, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 308 Crecy Street, Hanger 47, in Corpus Christi, TX.  Wipe samples were taken to assess lead presence and exposure. On April 6, 2016 and April 7, 2016, wipe samples were taken on surfaces at various locations inside Hanger 47 with the following results:  a. Wipe #1: Work lead desk, third from the end: 67.47 µg/ft2 b. Wipe #2: Toolbox top near alignment fixture, toolbox #SSMG69): 176.79 µg/ft2 c. Wipe #3: Top of eyewash station near alignment fixture: 1,351.74 µg/ft2 d. Wipe #4: Microwave keypad on Hamilton Beach model in street side break room: not detectible  e. Wipe #5:  GE refrigerator handle in street side break room between soda machine & computer: 15.46 µg/ft2    f. Wipe #6: Table top in street side break room, 2nd table from end on east side: 2.59 µg/ft2  g. Wipe #7: Components & electrical storage box near 4B103 7-76721 aircraft: 1,675.97 µg/ft2 h. Wipe #8: Supervisor's office labeled as tool room on door ledge: 1,176.15 µg/ft2 i. Wipe #9: Table top, 4th table from east side of bay side break room: 74.52 µg/ft2 j. Wipe #10: Microwave, Hamilton Beach key pad 4th from east side of bay side break room: not detectable    k.
