On or about 10/29/15, on site, for employees that are hand painting various steel products with a brush, using Sherwin Williams Shopcoat Primer, Gray, Product Code #E61AC82. The primer contains chemicals, such as, but not limited to, Toluene and Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime. Toluene is a skin sensitizer. The employer did not assess the workplace to require the use of nitrile gloves.

The primer contains chemicals, such as, but not limited to, Toluene and Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime. Toluene is a skin sensitizer. The employer required the use of leather gloves, and yet, provided nitrile gloves on a voluntary basis. The employer did not provide training to include the physical and health hazards of Toluene; that would require employees to don nitrile gloves.

The primer contains chemicals, such as, but not limited to, Toluene and Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime. Toluene is a skin sensitizer. The employer provided Gerson 1840 R95 (TC-84A-0383) on a voluntary basis. The employees are exposed to organic vapors. The Gerson 1840 R95 does not provide protection to organic vapor exposure.
