OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard.  (a) 1st Floor Stockroom, Vacuum Storage Shelving: On or about October 29, 2015, employees had to use a roller-stairs ladder to reach the top shelf of a shelving unit to stock and retrieve merchandise, exposing employees to an 8 foot fall hazard.         ABATEMENT NOTE:  Among other methods, one feasible abatement method to reduce these hazards is to avoid the use of mobile ladder stands in manner prohibited as listed in ANSI-ASC A14.7 Section 6.
