29 CFR 1926.51(f)(1): The employer did not provide adequate washing facilities for employees engaged in the application of paints, coating, herbicides, or insecticides, or in other operations where contaminants may be harmful to the employees. Such facilities shall be in near proximity to the worksite and shall be so equipped as to enable employees to remove such substances: Worksite: When employees were exposed to Lead and Lead-contaminated dusts, the employer supplied these employees with sanitizing wipes to clean their hands and face. However the employer failed to maintain adequate supplies of these materials. Employees who conducted abrasive blasting of Lead-based paint and Lead dust clean-up activities were required to purchase their own personal containers of sanitizing wipes to use prior to eating and drinking.
