29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Mayfield Place Project on Mayfield Drive in Enfield, CT On or about 11/16/15, an employee was working at the edge of a surface ten feet above the ground, building a porch, without the use of a fall protection system. Hamilton Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 985489, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/17/15, with respect to a workplace located at 41 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, CT 06033.
