29 CFR 1926.24: The employer did not develop and/or maintain an effective fire protection and prevention program at the job site throughout all phases of the construction, repair, alteration or demolition work and/or did not ensure the availability of the fire protection and suppression equipment required by Subpart F of this part: (a) On or about November 19, 2015, at worksite 311 NW 96th St, Kansas City, Missouri.- employees were exposed to serious injuries, in that no fire protection and prevention plan was developed for the Steeplechase apartment complex construction project, which consist of multiple 3 story wood frame structures in various phases of completion. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
