29 CFR 1910.147(c)(5)(i): Locks, tags, chains, wedges, key blocks, adapter pins, self-locking fasteners, or other hardware shall be provided by the employer for isolating, securing or blocking of machines or equipment from energy sources. Building 7 east center crane bay - On or about November 20, 2015, employees were required to perform tasks including, but not limited to, unjamming bundles of steel bars and slings from the bundle conveyer. The employer did not ensure that the employees were provided locks or other hardware to isolate energy sources prior to performing the tasks. Employees were thereby exposed to caught between and struck-by hazards.
