29 CFR 1910.213(q)(2): Veneer clippers shall have automatic feed or shall be provided with a guard which will make it impossible to place a finger or fingers under the knife while feeding or removing the stock. On November 20, 2015, in the Production Area, on Clipper Line #2, a Clipper Line Operator was exposed to an amputation hazard from an inadequate safeguarding system on the Angelo Cremona Model TM410080, SN 17502 Clipper Machine where the restraint and wristlet straps were not being inspected at the start of the operator's shift, after breaks, i.e., bathroom, lunch, and when changing operators.
