Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    Employees performing tear off operations were exposed to a fall greater than 25 feet when the employer failed to ensure that fall protection was utilized.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
