29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:    On or about December 7, 2015, at exit door leading to Larkin Street, the employer did not ensure monitoring to prohibit the stacking or storing material in the exit route to keep it free and unobstructed.  Mail containers blocked the designated emergency exit door on two observed instances, obstructing the path to reach the exit ramp and street. Employees were exposed to fire hazards.       The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1084109, citation number 01, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on September 4, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1415 Webster Street, Alameda, CA 94501.    The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 943248, citation number 01, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on November 20, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 195 41st Street, Oakland, CA 94611.
