29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Sanctuary roof - On or about December 10, 2015 two employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working on a steep roof 25 feet above another section of the roof with no lanyards connecting their harnesses to the building. The pitch of the roof was 7/12.
