29 CFR 1910.212(a): One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) 100 W. Industrial Park Blvd, Dalton, GA, Production Area: Employees using the Wysong Press Roll machine to fabricate parts for a coding machine were exposed to amputation and crushing hazards when feeding materials into the machine. An employee received crushing injuries to three fingers when operating the machine. Tuftco Finishing Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (August 14, 2014) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 990076, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on August 28, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 100 West Industrial Blvd, Dalton, GA 30722. Tuftco Finishing Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314639329, citation number 1, item number 5, and was affirmed as a final order on June 13, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 100 West Industrial Blvd, Dalton, GA 30722.
