29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) Meat cutting Area - Employees were using a Biro band saw to cut meat while the guard was positioned 3-4 inches above the piece being cut, exposing the employee to a serious hazard, observed 12-17-16. b) Meat cutting Area - Employees were using a Biro 9000 large band saw to cut meat while the adjustable guard was jammed, exposing the employee to a serious hazard, observed 12-17-16. Abatement certification required.
