29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s):      (a) Throughout the building area:  On or about 12/22/2016 and at times thereto, the employer exposed employees to lacerations and fractures, in that; no guarding methods were provided while using a Walker Turner Drill Press, Model: KAB-5E. There was no guard installed or available to place around the chuck or bit to protect the operator from being caught in the rotating parts, or from flying objects.        (b) Throughout the building area:  On or about 12/22/2016 and at times thereto, the employer exposed employees to lacerations and amputations, in that; no guarding method were provided while using a Ryobi Drill Press, Model: DP121L.   There was no guard installed or available to place around the chuck or bit to protect the operator from being caught in the rotating parts, or from flying objects.

29 CFR 1910.212(b): Machine(s) designed for fixed location(s) were not securely anchored to prevent walking or moving:  (a) Throughout the building area:  On or about 12/22/2016 and at times thereto, the employer exposed employees to lacerations and fractures while using a Walker Turner Drill Press, Model: KAB-5E, in that; the drill was not secured to the floor. There were no bolts or clamps connected to the base to prevent the machine from walking or moving when being operated.     (b) Throughout the building area:  On or about 12/22/2016 and at times thereto, the employer exposed employees to lacerations and amputations while using a Ryobi Drill Press, Model: DP121L, in that; the drill was not secured to the table top. There were no bolts or clamps connected to the base to prevent the machine from walking or moving when being operated.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:    (a) Throughout the building area:  On or about 12/22/2016 and at times thereto, the employer exposed employees to electrical shock and fire hazards, in that; relocatable power taps were not being used for their intended purposes. Relocatable power taps were secured to tables and work benches, and were being used as a substitute for fixed wiring.

Flexible cords were being used as a substitute for fixed wiring.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular hand-fed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood, which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut.     a) Builder Area: On or about 12/14/2016 and at times thereto, the employer failed to ensure that the blade of a Steel City Tool Works 10 Riving Knife Cabinet Saw, Model 35912., was guarded with a hood. Operators were exposed to amputations hazard while cutting wood pieces for the manufacture of wood furniture.    Tritter Feefer Home Collection, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.213(c)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 999138, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/02/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 815 Leeman Street, LaGrange Georgia.
