29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) On or about 12/16/2015 and in the preceding months in the bakery; where employees routinely cleaned the conveyor belt and roller on the Spiral 2 X-ray line with the machine running, or without deenergizing the equipment and locking the energy isolating device in the "off" position. Procedures were not utilized for the control of potentially hazardous conditions. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315500306, citation number 2, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 08/08/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1500 Brooks Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624. 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control: a) On or about 12/16/2015 and in the preceding months in the bakery; where employees cleaned the conveyor belt and roller on the Spiral 2 X-ray line with the machine running, or without deenergizing the equipment and locking the energy isolating device in the "off" position. Employees were not trained to recognize the hazardous condition, nor were they trained in the means and methods required to eliminate or control the hazards before cleaning the conveyor belt and roller. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315500306, citation number 2, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 08/08/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1500 Brooks Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624.
