29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the job site, an employee was cleaning off the buildup ink on the impression roller of Gravure Press #5 when his fingers were caught in the in-going nip point hazard between the impression roller and print cylinder. Employee was exposed to amputation hazards as the area was not guarded.
