29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: Employees were exposed to amputation hazards in the Prototype Studio/Model Shop. The guard for the Powermatic tablesaw was not being used during cutting operations. On or about May 1, 2017, an employee received an amputation to their left index finger and laceration injuries to left ring finger from coming into contact with the Powermatic table saw blade.

Employees were exposed to amputation hazards from the Powermatic Table Saw. There was no spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw or to prevent material being thrown back on the operator.
