29 CFR 1926.28(a): The employer did not require the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions. At this workplace, employees conducted welding and grinding operations to install a business sign and personal protective equipment was not worn to protect employees from burns, injuries to the face, hands, body, and hearing loss. Employees did not wear face shields, gloves, hearing protection and fire resistant clothing to protect from burning sparks.
