29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On January 25, 2016, employees were not protected from the hazard of falling while disposing of roofing debris on a low-sloped roof with a height of approximately 12.5 feet. Matthews Roofing Company, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1074912, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 27, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1600 W. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg, IL 60194. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
