29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about January 20, 2016, and at times prior, workers were exposed to falling 12 to 25 feet to ground level while performing framing tasks near the building edges from second and third story deck and rafter tops on a new construction project. Construction By Torres, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(15), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 958218, citation number 01, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on 5/13/2014, with respect to a workplace located near 2300 46th Ave SE, Mandan, ND 58554. Construction By Torres, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 107668, citation number 01, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on 12/16/2011, with respect to a workplace located at the corner of Villard St. and State Ave, Dickenson, ND 58601.
