29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means: On or about January 27, 2016, during the installation of wooden decking and roofing material for the construction of a work shop, the employer did not ensure employees were protected against contacting an energized 12kV electrical power circuit (power line), by de-energizing the circuit and grounding it, or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means. Employees were working within 4 feet of the energized power circuit.
