29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about February 8, 2016, the employer failed to provide effective guarding on the rear of the Pacific Hydraulic 300 ton Press Brake which is located in Press Brake Bay #7. There are materials and supplies located within this area including right up against the back of the press and the only warning of this hazardous location is a lose chain with a sign on it.
