29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms were not kept clean and orderly or in a sanitary condition.  Border Patrol Checkpoint, I-25 Mile Marker 26 north of Las Cruces, NM: On or about February 9, 2016, passageway(s) and storeroom(s) were not kept clean and orderly in the following instances;    a)     Holding cell(s) used for storage purposes were not kept clean, orderly and free of clutter. This condition exposed employees to trip hazards.    b)     Two extension cords used to power equipment outside the building were laid across the cement floor at the entry point of the building. This condition exposed employees to trip and fall hazards.

29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points:  Border Patrol Checkpoint, I-25 Mile Marker 26 north of Las Cruces, NM: On or about February 9, 2016, two extension cords used to energize the lights and a computer system outside the building were routed next to the entry point of the building and not protected from accidental damage. This condition exposed employees to electrical shock hazards.
