29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. F/V Blue Pacific, Coastal Dock; on or about 09 February 2016 and time prior thereto, an air nozzle used for cleaning purposes exceeded 30 p.s.i. Air nozzle measured approximately 70 psi. Air nozzle was not equipped with deflector to reduce the pressure of air flow. This exposed employees to foreign objects being embedded to the body and eyes.

29 CFR 1915.89(q)(1): The employer did not ensure that the audit was performed by an authorized employee other than the one(s) currently using the energy-control procedure being reviewed. F/V Blue Pacific, Coastal Dock; on or about 09 February 2016 and times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that the annual audit of the lockout/tagout plus program was completed. This condition exposed employees to unsafe work practices.
