29 CFR 1910.1025(e)(1)(i): For any employees exposed to lead above the permissible exposure limit for more than 30 days per year the employer did not implement engineering and work practice controls (including administrative controls) were not implemented to reduce and maintain employee exposure to lead: a) Furnace Area, on or about April 14, 2016 - The employer did not implement engineering and work practice controls (including administrative controls) to reduce and maintain employee exposure to lead. An employee designated as a Furnace Operator was exposed to lead at a time weighted average exposure of 74 micrograms per cubic meter of air, approximately 1.48 times the OSHA permissible exposure limit of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. Sampling was performed by an OSHA compliance officer on April 14, 2016 for 447 minutes and zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled portion of the shift.
