29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by unguarded moving parts: (a) Facility, 3701 Beale Avenue, Altoona, PA: On or about February 23, 2021 machine guarding was not in place to protect the operator from the moving ram on the Victory cutting sheer. The operator was cutting 1/2" square bar stock into 1" pieces and some of the pieces jammed near the cutting bar. The operator reached into the machine to remove the pieces when the ram came down and pinched the operator's left middle finger resulting in an avulsion to the tip of the finger.
