29 CFR 1910.304(f)(1)(iv): Overcurrent devices for circuits rated 600 volts, nominal, or less, were not readily accessible to each employee or authorized building management personnel. Aircraft Maintenance; on or about 28 March 2016 and times prior thereto; the employer did not ensure that the electrical panels were readily accessible. Two instances were noted: (a) Fabrication shop; had trash cans stored in front electrical panel labeled HA impeding access. (b) Electrical shop; had miscellaneous items stored in front of collocated electrical panels labeled LJ-1 and LJ-2 impeding access. This condition exposed employees to an electrical shock hazard and burn hazard.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed. Aircraft maintenance shops; on or about 28 March 2016 and times prior thereto; two instances were noted where the employer did not ensure that the electrical panels were effectively closed: (a) Electrical shop; A 208 volt energized electrical panel board labeled L-J-2 a knockout missing on the lower left hand side of the box. (b) Hydraulics shop; A 208 volt energized electrical panel board labeled LL had an open blank on breaker number 7. (c) Repair and Reclamation shop; two knockouts missing on electrical box the wheel washer. This condition exposed employees to an electrical shock, electrical burn hazards and thermal hazards.

29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): On every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official were not marked on plates of approved design and securely affixed in a conspicuous place in each space to which they relate. Hydraulics shop mezzanine: On or about 28 March 2016 and times prior thereto, the storage area on the mezzanine did not have maximum safe load limits posted. This condition exposed employees to a struck by hazard.
