29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazards: (a) The body harness and lanyards provided by the employer did not protect the employee from fall hazards he was exposed to as a rigger; in that the lanyards were not long enough to allow the employee to remain tied off while moving from one rafter to another. (b) Additional tie off anchor points were not provided by the employer to allow the employee to protect himself from fall hazards in the work place. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19
