29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59)  (a) Temporary labor employees who were potentially exposed to such hazardous chemicals as silica, wet concrete, and gasoline while pouring and finishing concrete had not been provided with information concerning the location and availability of the host employer's safety data sheets and written hazard communication program or trained on the details of the hazard communication program.   (b) As of 03/31/16, temporary labor employees who worked at the site had not been trained on the new chemical container label elements and the new format and types of information on each section of safety data sheets (SDSs) with respect to revisions to the standard in accordance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED  Carolinas Construction Solutions, LLC was previously cited for a violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Standard [1910.1200(h)(1)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1090300, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 16, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at Building 1880, Housing Road, Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC 29207.
