OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm by an amputation hazard: a) Private Residence: An employee was exposed to an amputation hazard when his climbing line was taken with tree debris and fed into a wood chipper on site. On 04/06/2016, an employee sustained an amputation to his left thumb.
