29 CFR 1910.242(b): Effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment was not used when compressed air was used for cleaning purposes: (a) BEF Foods, Inc. on or about April 13, 2016, at the address 651 Commerce Pkwy. Lima, OH: Employees were exposed to eye injuries in that no eye protection was utilized while using compressed air for clearing paper dust from the Wexar Machine (case pack #2). Employees performing this task in this condition were exposing to flying object hazards, from both the compressed air line and paper particles.
