On or about April 14, 2016, employees engaged in framing activities were not wearing eye protection while using a pneumatic nail gun.  This exposed the employees to struck-by hazards and/or eye injuries.

29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe condition(s) and the regulation(s) applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazard(s) or other exposure to illness or injury.  On or about April 14, 2016, employees were not trained for using the pneumatic nail gun they were using while engaged in framing activities.  This exposed employees to struck-by hazards and/or eye injuries.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  On or about April 14, 2016, the employer did not ensure employees engaged in new residential framing activities were using fall protection, exposing the employees to a fall from a height greater than six (6) feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  On or about April 14, 2016, the employer did not ensure employees engaged in new residential framing activities, and working at a height greater than six (6) feet above ground level, had been provided fall protection training.  Employees were exposed to fall hazards.
