29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent:  a) On or about 4/21/16, outside the third floor exit door area, employees were exposed to, in the event of an emergency, a delayed egress from an exit sign that was not indicating the direction of travel to the exit.  b) On or about 4/21/16, in the multi-family work area, employees were exposed to, in the event of an emergency, a delayed egress from an exit sign that was not indicating the direction of travel to the exit.  c) On or about 4/21/16, in the public housing work area, employees were exposed to, in the event of an emergency, a delayed egress from an exit sign that was not indicating the direction of travel to the exit.  PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED NOT FOR THIS VIOLATION.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:  a) On or about 4/21/16, in the electrical room area, a relocatable power tap was not directly connected to a permanently installed branch circuit receptacle.  b) On or about 4/21/16, in the legal department printer area, a relocatable power tap was not directly connected to a permanently installed branch circuit receptacle.  c) On or about 4/21/16, in the computer training room area, three (3)relocatable power taps were not directly connected to a permanently installed branch circuit receptacle.  PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
