29 CFR 1910.23(c)(3): Regardless of height, open-sided floors, walkways, platforms, or runways above or adjacent to dangerous equipment, pickling or galvanizing tanks, degreasing units, and similar hazards were not guarded with a standard railing and toe board. a. In the spin casting department, the open-sided floor was not properly guarded by a standard railing, exposing employees to a fall hazard. On or about April 25, 2016, an employee fell 16 feet and suffered fracture injuries.
