29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4): Safeguard(s) designed to protect employees during an emergency (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire doors, exit lighting), were not in proper working order at all times. (a) Warehouse Entrance: on or about 12 May 2016 and times prior; the employer did not ensure that emergency exits lights were in proper working order. The emergency exit lights was inoperative. This condition exposed employees to delays in exiting the building causing smoke inhalation and fire hazards. (b) Freeze and Chill Office area: on or about 12 May 2016 and times prior; the employer did not ensure that emergency exits lights were in proper working order. The emergency exit lights was inoperative. This condition exposed employees to delays in exiting the building causing smoke inhalation and fire hazards. The Army Air Force Exchanges Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 902132, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 21 May 2013, with respect to a workplace located at the JBER, AK Auto Care Center.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not ensure that Safety Data Sheets were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s) (a) Warehouse, Haz-Mat Lockers: On or about 12 May 2016 and times prior thereto, No MSDS were available on NOW Aerosol Spray paint, color red. This condition exposed employees to contact with toxic, caustic or noxious substances. (b) Warehouse, Haz-Mat Lockers: On or about 12 May 2016 and times prior thereto, No MSDS were available on Briggs & Stratton, Synthetic Small Engine Oil. This condition exposed employees to contact with toxic, caustic or noxious substances. The Army Air Force Exchanges Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 826561, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 21 May 2013, with respect to a workplace located at the Eielson AFB, AK Auto Care Center.
