29 CFR 1910.212(a)(5): Fan blade guards, where the periphery of the blades was less than seven feet above the floor or working level, had openings larger than one half inch: a) Shop area mezzanine: On or about May 11, 2016, and at times prior, workers were exposed to amputation hazards where the fan at the rear of the Modine heater unit was 4.5 feet from the mezzanine floor and not effectively guarded. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
