29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Location: 430 Marin Blvd., Jersey City, NJ. a) Employees were observed walking/working on a pick platform, at the edge, without any means of fall protection, thereby exposing them to a fall hazard of approximately 19th stories to the ground below; on or about 6/10/16. b)Employees were observed walking/working at an unprotected edge of the 23rd floor, without any means of fall protection, thereby exposing them to a fall hazard of approximately of 15 ft. to the floor below; on or about 6/10/16. Forsa Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 825341, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/28/13, with respect to a workplace located at 1025 Maxwell Lane, Hoboken, NJ.
