29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Throughout facility: Employees were not provided effective information and training on the hazardous chemicals used to restore military equipment, such as, but not limited to, acetone, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits, 3069 Tectyl 2423 HAPS FR Black paint CARC paint components A and B, AMERCOAT 235 CURE USA paint (a corrosive chemical) and Tough Coat Parts A & B paint, on or about 6/20/16. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
