MO., employees were exposed to serious injuries, in that the employer had not selected and enforced the use of necessary personal protective equipment needed to protect the hands and fingers of affected employees handling sharp metal materials and or machinery/equipment. As a result employees have received numerous recordable injuries involving cuts, lacerations, and a recent thumb amputation. These incidents could have been prevented if proper hand protection was being provided and used during the tasks involved.    Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.

(2) The Delta Rockwell Band Saw SN#1387258, in the SE section of Brake Metal Area - 2-1/2 inches of the unused portion of the cutting blade was left unguarded while cutting metal approx. 1/16th of inch thick.       Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
