29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1): When employees were subjected to sound exceeding those listed in Table G-16, feasible engineering controls were not utilized: On the Shaving Deck, on or about July 28, 2016, and at times prior to, the employer did not ensure that the break shed, which was an engineering control installed to reduce noise exposure was utilized by employees who were exposed to high noise levels. The shaver deck operator was exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 100.8 dBA during the 482 minute sampling period. The Telfair Forest Products, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.95(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314096850, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on July 24, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 11 West Industrial Blvd in Lumber City, Georgia.
