29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by moving parts of conveyors and rotating parts: Ronpak, Inc., South Plainfield, NJ worksite - Manufacturing: a) The buttons for the jog function on the webbing sections of the 4#1 and 4#2 SOS machines are positioned in a way that allows employees to place their hands where the roller blade is while jogging the machinery. The close relation of the jog button to the danger zone did not act as sufficient guarding to prevent injury. Condition noted on or around 8/2/2016. b) The jog button located on top of the anilox roller was not positioned in a way that would prevent employees from being caught in the rollers. Condition noted on or about 8/2/2016. c) The "Sunday drive" automatic function on the Beasley printing presses operated in a manner which failed to prevent employee exposure to the in-going nip points of the rollers. Condition noted on or about 11/7/2016.
