29 CFR 1926.1423(c)(3)(i): Steps, handholds, ladders and guardrails/railings/grabrails must meet the criteria of SAE J185 (May 2003) (incorporated by reference, see 1926.6) or ISO 11660-2:1994(E) (incorporated by reference, see 1926.6) except where infeasible. a) TVA Allen Plant - On or about 8/17/16, employees were exposed to fall hazards when the hand-railing system to safely access the Manitowoc 650 crane did not have an appropriate height. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
