Sandblasting area - On or about August 31, 2016, the exit route door on the West wall was locked with a keyed padlock. Thereby exposing employees to fire and emergency evacuation hazard(s).

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(5): Each doorway or passage along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit was not marked "Not an Exit" or similar designation or identified by a sign indicating its actual use: a. Facility North Wall- On or about August 31, 2016, the employer did not ensure that a doorway that could be mistaken for an exit did not indicate that it was "Not An Exit." Employees were thereby exposed to fall hazards by a placard hung above the door that read: "EXIT."
