29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. a) Production Assembly Floor and throughout the facility: On or about September 13, 2016 and at times prior, the employer exposed the employee to electric shock hazards in that the appropriate PPE was not provided while performing maintenance that requires access to the electrical panel/control cabinet for the Edge Banders, Panel Saws, or CNC machine in order to perform a voltage test.

29 1910.147(c)(1): The employer shall establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative. a) Production Assembly Floor and throughout the facility: On or about September 13, 2016 and at times prior, the employer exposed employee to amputations in that the employer did not have an adequate energy control program which includes energy control procedures specific to each machine. The equipment is not completely isolated when maintenance is being performed.
