29 CFR 1926.451(b)(2): Scaffold platforms and walkways were not at least 18 inches wide: a) Martin Luther King Building & U.S. Courthouse, 50 Walnut Street, Newark, NJ. Employee was exposed to a fall of 27 feet to the ground below from the tubular welded frame scaffold as the platform the employee was working from was the narrow edge of the scaffold plank which made for a platform well under 18 inches wide. Violation observed on 08/29/2016.
